WHEN CAN I START USING MOTIVO SCAR CARE™ - SCAR CREAM?
Begin using Motivo Scar Care™ - Scar Cream as soon as the wound has fully closed (e.g. skin is healed and there is no oozing, crusting or irritation in the area). Treatment with Motivo Scar Care™ - Scar Cream for post-surgical scars may typically begin approximately 1 week after stitches or staples are removed or when cleared by your physician or surgeon for use.

For existing scars, as long as your skin is intact and no wounds or irritation is present, you may begin using Motivo Scar Care™ - Scar Cream immediately.

Motivo Scar Care™ - Scar Cream can be applied up to 6 months post-procedure, as treating scars within six months of an injury or a procedure presents the best opportunity to prevent scarring.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SEE IMPROVEMENT ON MY SCARS?
Treatment duration will vary per individual and depending upon the type of scar, as well as many other factors. Initial results can be seen in as early as 4 weeks, with full results visible after 1 year. People heal at different rates, so for some people, it may take longer than others to see results. Larger and older scars may take longer, therefore continued use is recommended if the scar continues to improve after the initial 90 days. Individual results will vary.

CAN I SWIM, SHOWER OR EXERCISE WITH MOTIVO SCAR CARE™ - SCAR CREAM?
Motivo Scar Care™ - Scar Cream is not waterproof and will wash off during exposure to water, such as showering and swimming. Please be sure to reapply Motivo Scar Care™ - Scar Cream after exposing the scarred area to water.

You may use Motivo Scar Care™ - Scar Cream during exercise. After exercise please feel free to reapply as needed to the scarred area. Please be sure to clean the scarred area before reapplying.

HOW DO I APPLY MOTIVO SCAR CARE™ - SCAR CREAM?
Ensure that the affected area is clean and dry. Apply a very thin, even layer two times a day (morning and evening) over the scar area. Motivo Scar Care™ - Scar Cream is quick-drying. Allow to dry completely Once dry, Motivo Scar Care™ - Scar Cream can be covered with pressure garments (e.g. Motivo Scar Care™ - Scar Tape), clothing or cosmetics. If the affected area is subject to abrasion, it may be beneficial to repeat the application midday. Wait 15 minutes before sun exposure.

For maximum effectiveness, Motivo Scar Care™ - Scar Cream should have 24-hour contact with the scar area for the duration of the treatment
